MoveBuddy is designed to work locally on your Mac. The launch version does not use accounts, ads, in-app purchases, external analytics, or tracking SDKs.
MoveBuddy stores app settings locally, such as language, reminder interval, selected character, and timer preferences.
It may also store active break history, such as completed, snoozed, or skipped breaks, date, exercise, character, and rep goal.
This information is used only to run the app, show your local summary, and remember your preferences.
The Mac App Store MVP does not transmit your settings, exercise history, browsing activity, screen contents, or system usage to MoveBuddy servers or third-party services.
MoveBuddy may check local system idle time to avoid showing reminders when you are away from your Mac. This happens on device and is not stored or transmitted.
MoveBuddy may open your mail app or this feedback page outside the app. Sending feedback is optional.
If you write in, your message may include comments and your email address. It is used only for support, understanding issues, and improving the product. Do not include medical information or sensitive data.
The launch version is free. MoveBuddy does not include a store, in-app purchases, payment links, ads, social SDKs, or external analytics SDKs.
Local settings and history remain until you reset data, delete the app, or remove the local app container managed by macOS.
